First step in being a college graduate...signing a lease.

So I will not be spending part of the summer in the music capital of the US,
Nashville, Tennessee but will be in The Woodlands and working in Houston.

On another note, today was a very exciting day.  I will officially be in Houston for a year.  I signed a lease today for an apartment in Houston with Courtney Taylor and Steph Marchand.  It will be so much fun!!  It is still hard for me to believe that I am going to be here for a year.  It's crazy but so exciting!

Update

For those of y'all who I have not talked to, let me update you on my life.
The past week or so have been crazy.  I was suppose to start my internship this past Tuesday,
but last Friday I received a phone call about a Marketing internship with a company downtown.  To make a long story short, this was an opportunity that I could not pass up.
Part of this internship would involve me living in Nashville, Tennessee for a month to be trained.
I am so excited and just waiting for the final decision to be made.

So in the mean time, I have just been playing mom and picking up my little sister from school,
driving her to and from her many dance and tumbling practices.
I now have a lot of respect for my mother because she did the same thing
for 3 girls at one time.  Also, I have been watching the old school 90210 on soapnet...
maybe the worst channel to give me...my roommates know what I am talking about.
Well I am off to finish watching SYTYCD.
I will keep you posted on whether or not I am going to Nashvegas!!

Season Finale of American Idol

The season finale of American Idol is tonight and I can't wait!
I am definitely a Team Kris fan.  I will be cheering him on with my mom
and the rest of her teacher friends.
This watch party will occur at Buffalo Wild Wings
and I am sure will be out of control.  Can't wait for the SYTYCD premiere tomorrow!
Good Luck Kris Allen!

Bye Sister, Hello Caos.

I have been home for 48 hours and already I have been to a wedding,
sent Veronica off to Ozark at 5:30 in the morning, hung out at the Carnes' and
watched the Rockets lose, driven to College Station and back in a 4 hr. time period,
worked at JCrew and had drinks with some of my 2 best friends.
It has definitely been a whirlwind and I have not had time to rest.

I miss camp so much! I wish I was there with my sister.
I know she will have a blast.  This was when I worked in the kitchen.
Maybe the best 2 weeks at camp.

Tonight I am sitting on my couch watching the Bachelorette, One Tree Hill,
Gossip Girl and the Hills.  Go ahead an judge me but those that know me best,
know this is not unusual for a Monday night.
By the way I miss y'all so much!
Cat, let me know what you think of the Bachelorette as soon as you watch it.

My mother has started referring to our house as a thrift store.
This is due to the fact that sister and I both moved home and there is crap everywhere.  Anytime someone comes over, she tries to sell something.
I can't really walk around my room because it's caos.

Well back to my finale's.  Happy Monday Night!

Packing

Well the packing continues....
My room has been pretty much empty since Saturday.  It took my roommates about
4 days to get up the courage to do the same.  Now our house looks like a bomb went off.
This is all extremely sad to me.

I Love LAWANA!

My Mother is one of the greatest people I know. I love everything about her,
from her name to her crazy driving, she has become my best friend.  I hope to one day have
the skills that she does.  She has taught me so much and I know she will continue to
do so for a long time.
Lawana, thank you so much for being my mother and putting up with my crap.  We have not always been friends, but I am so glad that we have become so close over the past 4 years.  I love you and can't wait to spend all summer with you.
I LOVE YOU and HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

NO FINALS IS THE GREATEST THING GOD COULD GIVE A STUDENT!
I have been spending some really great quality time with a few girls I have grown to love deeply.  They are a year younger than me but ones that I look up to and have learned quite a bit from lately.  They are amazing!

Currently I am sitting in their living room watching them work on a leadership forum they have developed.  I will definitely miss them when my time here is finished.

It has no survival value;
rather is one of those things that give value to survival."

School's out FOREVER!

I have been trying not to think about graduating and moving away.  It becomes very depressing around our house when we start talking about leaving.  The though of moving out of my house and leaving my roommates makes me really sad.  I have spent 4 years of college with these girls and I will miss them more than words can describe.  Each one of them has taught me some much about myself.  They have each helped me, whether they know it or not, in some of the most significant ways.  These next 2 weeks are going to be very hard for me to handle.  I am completely done with school and can't even fathom what the future holds for each of us.

These past few weeks have held some of the most amazing weekends of college.  The first being, Ayrshire Parents weekend.  Between the 12 of us, we had every single one of our parents in attendance.  It started with brunch, then a baseball game, followed by a cook and our ring dunk.  The next weekend involved a weekend to the river.  What started out as a small group, ended up being a group of about 56 people.  We floated the river and then one of our friends parents cooked us all dinner.  We finished the night with some volleyball and just good ole conversations.  Finally,  we had our last formal of college last night.  It was one of the most fun nights ever!  My date was great, the dancing was so crazy, and our friends just had a blast.  At one point we were all together screaming The Climb - Miley Cyrus, at the top of our lungs.  I will sure miss these moments.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Love you all deeply!
